Salt Lake City, UT (Feb 1, 2021) –
Renewlogy continues to work with the City of Phoenix on deploying an advanced recycling facility as part of Reimagine Phoenix’s Resource Innovation Campus (RIC). Renewlogy has completed construction of the equipment for the first Phase of the project, and is working closely with the City of Phoenix on being able to launch the first Phase of the project in 2021.
The project was initially planned to be launched in 2020, however delays due to Covid-19 caused unforeseen contract delays. Renewlogy has been able to use this additional time to focus on the output products from the project being able to be used as petrochemical feedstocks for plastic production, rather than the initial goal of fuels.
The Renewlogy project in Phoenix was previously selected for a grant by the Arizona Commerce Authority’s Innovation Challenge. Renewlogy has been awarded the RFP for Phoenix’s Mixed Plastic Waste Program.
