Renewing ocean bound plastics through collection, conversion & compensation

Renewlogy Oceans diverts plastic waste with biofences in rivers across the developing world, and renews these plastics into fuels while empowering local communities.

It is estimated that by 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish

Ocean plastic pollution is a defining problem of our time

River Communities

A significant % of plastic enters oceans through rivers. Our ReFence’s can divert plastic waste from entering oceans, while creating local value for the community.

Island Communities

Island communities struggle with limited space to landfill plastic, and high energy costs. By converting the plastic into fuel, we offer a local circular solution.

Marine Vessels

Vessels are now trying to collect plastics at sea, and we offer an on-board solution to convert these plastics into fuels which can be used on board.

Developing Urban Areas

Lack of waste infrastructure in developing regions is a key contributor to ocean plastics: we offer a local smart city solution for office and residential complexes.

A significant amount of plastics enter the ocean through 10 of the world's major rivers. Renewlogy Oceans is focusing its efforts on these rivers, collecting plastics at the source.

Collection

ReFence

ReFences are biofences designed to collect plastic waste as it flows down polluted rivers and tributaries, in order to divert it from entering the ocean. The ReFence will initially adopt a low-tech and proven robust design, and over time we will continue to adapt the design for optimization in different conditions.

Conversion

RenewOne

Plastics which have been collected and aren’t able to be recycled will be converted into fuels. RenewOne is mobile and can operate off-grid to produce fuels such as diesel. The simple touch screen creates a user-friendly interface.

Empowering Communities

Compensation

ReChain

Waste pickers will receive compensation directly tied to the fuel generated from the plastic they collect. This system allows for complete transparency, and ensures that profits are directly distributed to waste pickers.

Renew Ganga Project

Renewlogy’s campaign targeting river plastics will start in India, focusing on the area around the Ganges. It is estimated that the Ganges contributes 1.2 billion pounds of plastic waste to the oceans…
